Director of AI (Product-Led, AI-Native)

We are seeking a product-focused Director of AI to lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of AI-native features embedded at the core of our platform. This leader will operate at the intersection of AI, Product, and Engineering—owning the roadmap for intelligent capabilities that directly drive user value, differentiation, and revenue growth.

This role requires a hands-on builder who has shipped AI-first products and understands how to translate models into scalable, customer-facing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the AI product vision aligned to company growth objectives

  • Partner closely with Product to prioritize AI-native features that drive adoption and retention

  • Lead development of LLM-driven, predictive, and automation capabilities embedded in the core platform

  • Own experimentation strategy (A/B testing, model iteration, feedback loops) to optimize product impact

  • Establish scalable AI architecture and MLOps practices to support rapid deployment

  • Balance model performance, latency, cost, and user experience in production environments

  • Recruit and lead a high-performing AI/ML team focused on product delivery

KPIs:

  • AI feature adoption and usage metrics

  • AI-attributed revenue and expansion impact

  • Model performance in production (accuracy, latency, reliability)

  • Release velocity of AI features

  • Retention and engagement improvements tied to AI functionality

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in AI/ML with demonstrated experience shipping AI-native SaaS products

  • Strong understanding of LLMs, generative AI, and applied ML in customer-facing environments

  • Proven collaboration with Product leadership in roadmap ownership

  • Experience scaling AI capabilities in a growth-stage (Series A–C) environment

  • Strong commercial acumen—ability to connect model output to customer value and revenue
